Residence Permit for Employment Purposes

Work permit for Philippines, Georgia & Armenia citizens. Expert support for obtaining your Hungarian employment residence permit with licensed immigration attorney assistance.

Important update: June 2026

Following the 2026 change of government, Hungary has announced that new guest worker (Employment Permit) applications for non-EU nationals are being suspended from 1 June 2026, for an indefinite period. The detailed rules are still being finalised, so the guidance on this page may change.

If you already hold this permit, you are expected to keep it until it expires, although renewals may face stricter checks. Skilled routes such as the EU Blue Card and Hungarian Card remain open. Contact us for the latest on your situation, or read our explainer on the 2026 work permit changes.
